Mick studied at Bill Palmer's School for Experiential Education between 1995 and 1998 and received a Diploma in Movement Shiatsu. He is a Graduate Member of the Shiatsu Society and in October 2005 was voted on to the Board of Directors of the Shiatsu Society. He has been working since 1998 within clinics and organisations in Wiltshire and Dorset.
